About this notice

1. Who we are

This website, makonis.ai, is operated by Makonis Software Solutions Private Limited ("Makonis", "we", "us"), registered at 51, 3rd Cross Rd, Aswath Nagar, Marathahalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560037, India. Makonis AI is a brand under which Makonis Software Solutions offers AI and machine learning services; it is not a separate legal entity.

For the personal data we collect through this website, Makonis is the "Data Fiduciary" under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), the entity that decides why and how your data is processed.

This notice covers only the personal data collected through this website (makonis.ai), for example through the "Book a free demo" form. It does not cover:

• Data belonging to our client projects, which is handled under the terms of our contract with that client; or
• Data collected by customers using Makonis products, which is governed by our agreement with that customer, not by this notice.

2. What we collect and why

We only collect personal data that you choose to give us through this website, plus limited technical data generated automatically when you visit. The table below sets out each category, what it is used for, and on what basis.

We currently do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies on this website, and no such data is collected.

Sharing data

3. Who we share your data with

We share personal data only with:

• Service providers who host our website, email, and forms, and who process data only on our instructions (for example, our hosting provider and email provider);
• Weather-data and IP-location lookup services, solely to determine the weather visual described in Section 2 above. Only your approximate location for that single request is shared, and nothing is stored by them or by us afterward; and
• Government authorities, regulators, or courts, where we are required to by law.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

International transfers

4. Transfers outside India

Our website and database are hosted in India, and we do not otherwise transfer personal data outside India. The one exception is the weather visual described above: to show it, your approximate location is sent, for that single page load only, to weather-data services which may be located outside India. No other personal data is included in that request, and nothing from it is stored by us.

Data submitted through this website travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Access to personal data we hold is limited to staff who need it to do their job, and we expect our service providers to protect data under written agreements with us. No method of storing or transmitting data is completely risk-free, and we do not claim otherwise.

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

• Ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and who we've shared it with;
• Ask us to correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data;
• Ask us to erase data that we no longer need for the purpose it was collected for;
• Withdraw any consent you have given us, at any time, as easily as you gave it;
• Raise a grievance with us if you are unhappy with how we've handled your data; and
• Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapable.

To exercise any of the rights above, write to info@makonissoft.com from the same email address you used with us, and tell us what you're asking for. We will reply within 30 calendar days.

If your grievance remains unresolved, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

This website is intended for business visitors and is not directed at, or intended for use by, individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through this website.
